Everything right and wrong about Frank Miller, unadulterated.

A disappointing follow up, it misses key material from the source material, with a needless re-invention of the wheel.

The waging of sin is dearth.

SIn City (2005) had been one of the first green-screen films entirely fleshed out by a world made with CG animation. This should have made productions faster and cheaper than conventional films, but the fast-track sequel took nearly a decade of false starts and wrong turns. The result is a film that feels like no time has passed but now come so late as to be too late. Still, an ensemble cast -notably led by the fearless Eva Green- and directors Rodriguez and Miller bring us a multitude of sins sincerely.
